Deeply Rooted - Part 1

So The Roots released their 13th studio album, Undun yesterday and don’t seem like they are ever going to stop doing what they do since when I was born (1980-something, yeah... ahem…) Being the die-hard Roots fan I am, I thought it would be a good idea to make a brief summary of their extraordinary work through those 13 albums...

Since the material is just A LOT, I’m going to do this in two parts - I present the first part today. The set (that is in somewhat chronological order of the albums from Organix down to Undun with a few albums left out for the next part) starts with an energetic section followed by an intermission through their live performance of Essaywhuman!!!!, then mellow it down a bit and finally conclude with Ursula Rucker’s spoken word piece The Adventures in Wonderland off their Illadelph Halflife album… Enjoy…
